Mr. William Kidd is the research director for TechView by IHS Markit, a global research service tailored to institutional investors, encompassing over 300 TMT analysts. He brings more than twenty years of corporate strategy, equity research, investment banking, and consulting experience to IHS Markit customers. He excels in modeling industry dynamics, deciphering competitive advantage, evaluating and valuing both companies and strategic actions, raising capital, and advising C-level executives and institutional investors. Mr. Kidd’s project track record includes consulting engagements on Ambarella, Broadcom, Freescale, Globalfoundries, Infineon, Marvell, MediaTek, Renesas and Skyworks. He also leads competitive intelligence, strategic advisory and due diligence consulting engagements for a diverse set of financial customers: asset managers, private equity, and commercial and investment banks. Prior to joining IHS Markit, he was a senior equity research analyst at Lehman Brothers, HSBC Securities, C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, and Wedbush Morgan Securities. He has been ranked as a top Wall Street industry analyst by organizations like Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates and Forbes. His equity and capital markets experience for 10+ years has included covering companies in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. His investment banking experience has included pitching, winning and selling over thirty public equity, debt, convertible and merger transactions, working with companies like AOL, Dish Network, Eutelsat, Intelsat, L-3 Communications, Liberty Media, Loral Space, Sirius XM Radio, ViaSat and Vivendi. Mr. Kidd’s university degrees include an MBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California, US.​
