Her qualifications include a Master of Science in advanced macroeconomics and mathematics from the University of London, a postgraduate certificate in economics and mathematics from Birkbeck College, London, and a diploma in journalism from the London School of Journalism, United Kingdom. Her first language is English and she has studied Mandarin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and speaks Hindi, having spent part of her early life in India.
