Principal Analyst, Country Risk, IHS Markit
Mr. Anton Alifandi serves as a principal analyst of Country Risk at IHS Markit for Southeast Asia, primarily responsible for Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and East Timor. He was formerly in a Singapore-based position as analyst for Control Risks in Southeast Asia and Australia before joining IHS, now IHS Markit, in 2013. He previously worked as a journalist for the BBC and Associated Press Television News and the Jakarta Post. Mr. Alifandi holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE), London, UK. He attained Doctorandus in International Relations from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A native Indonesian speaker, he is also fluent in Bahasa Malaysia.
