Natznet Tesfay is the Director of Africa Research, IHS Economics and Country Risk, and the Head of Desk for the Africa Country Risk Analysis team. Previously, at Exclusive Analysis, she managed a regional intelligence team of in-country analysts and sources, as well as Exclusive Analysis’s Johannesburg office. She specializes in energy and mining in West Africa, particularly Nigeria, offshore energy in East Africa and piracy risks in the Gulf of Aden and Gulf of Guinea. Natznet received an MSc in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Government and African Studies from Harvard University. Prior to joining Exclusive Analysis, Natznet advised on the development of free trade zones, foreign policy and the mining sector in the Horn of Africa. Natznet speaks Tigrinya.
