Vice President, Forecast Planning, Automotive, IHS Markit
Mr. Tim Armstrong is vice president of Forecast Planning for Automotive at IHS Markit. He is responsible for the group's syndicated automotive research and analysis worldwide, comprised of 175 automotive analysts located in 26 offices globally. He has more than twenty five years of experience in forecasting, analysis and management, originally specializing in emerging markets. Since joining DRI in 1996 he has headed automotive research on Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Middle East and Africa. After the acquisition of Global Insight by IHS Inc. in 2008, now part of IHS Markit, he assumed global responsibility for Forecast Planning. He holds a Master of Economics from the University of Western Australia and Bachelor's degrees in economics and finance from Murdoch University and Curtin University, Australia.
